Sarah and Will

We met more than 13 years ago – Will was the year above me in high school, and our friendship groups started to merge when we were in our later high school years. We started chatting more and more and just knew it was going to be something special from the beginning!

Our wedding was at the beautiful Wylam Brewery. We love going to Wylam events throughout the year and fell in love with it as a wedding venue (plus what a great idea to have the biggest day of your life in a brewery!)

We wanted a ceremony that allowed us to completely celebrate our love and all the joys that come with getting married and Jo was the perfect choice!  The freedom to have the ceremony sound and flow how we wanted, was exactly what we wanted from our day.

I don’t think either of us really knew what to expect but after the initial conversation with Jo we knew it was going to be something special. From the very first meeting we felt like we were the most important couple she’d met. We knew we wanted something a little bit different, something that would make people laugh and to help them remember the day, and that is exactly what happened.

It really is so difficult to just pick one bit!

We wanted our friends and family to feel like they were truly a part of the ceremony and Jo managed to ensure that was the case completely. There were woops, cheers, laughs and tears in all of the right places and the whole ceremony suited our personalities more than we could have asked for.

(The fact she timed our first kiss perfectly to our chosen song was pretty spectacular too!)

They all loved it! We have had so many comments and messages from people saying they’d never been to a wedding like it before and that it was perfect for us!

Those few friends who got special mentions during our ceremony were honoured and spent the day boasting to anyone who would listen!

All our suppliers were amazing, a special shout out to:

• Di Meos – It’s our favourite place to go for pizza and ice cream so we had to find a way to incorporate them into the day – luckily you can hire their ice cream cart which is exactly what we did! I think this was a favourite of our guests too!
• Alan Gibson Photography – from offering to photograph our “signing the paperwork day” with 3 days notice to making everyone laugh and feel at ease throughout the whole day – Alan really knows his stuff and produces incredible photos!
