How we both met
We met through Facebook, sharing mutual friends. Hitting it off instantly with a mutual love of modifying cars…
The Wedding Venue
Why we chose to have a celebrant wedding ceremony
We are both none religious and saw our wedding as a celebration of our love for each other.
We felt a standard registrar wedding just would not have fit our vision for our wedding ceremony as it was really important to us that our wedding was personalised to us perfectly!
Ideas about what our ceremony could have looked like
We knew we wanted a relaxed and enjoyable atmoshphere in our ceremony space, as we found some past traditional weddings unemotional.
The best part of the ceremony for us
Having some of our family and friends say a few words about us in our ceremony was so lovely and hearing our own vows to each other for the very first time.
What our guests said about our wedding ceremony/day
Our guests loved how different our ceremony was to weddings they had previously been to. Some of our engaged guests said it had made them rethink their current wedding plans after hearing and feeling our ceremony.
Some of our fav wedding suppliers and why we chose them
- Adam Watson (videography) – Adam is a friend we met through car shows and I’d always knew he was an excellent photographer but when I found out he did wedding videography also I was sold. It helped so much being relaxed around the videography as you end up spending a lot of time together through the day.
- Beatrice Holli Mett (make-up) – Beatrice really came to my rescue after I’d have a make up trial elsewhere and was horrified at how I looked. Not only is she hilarious and kind she is a wizard with a make up brush! I Cried happy tears the first time she did my make up!
- Luke Howells (magician), We had met Luke a few years previous when he entertained at my uncles birthday party and we both agreed if we ever got married we’d have him! He was the absolute talking point of the evening! We were also given our own private magic show which had us both baffled! He is a must book!
- Wild and Wonderful Flowers (florist and venue styling), they took my medley of ideas and turned it into something absolutely stunning
Three words that sum up our ‘Love Jo’ experience!
Emotional, Unique and Personal.
