How we both met
We both met at school when we were teenagers. We were both in the rowing club together and were friends first!
The Wedding Venue
Our wedding was at the beautiful Wylam Brewery on a summer’s day in July 2023. It had been pouring down with rain a few days before but the sun came out for us.
Why we chose to have a celebrant wedding ceremony
We weren’t sure about the process and what would be best for us but after speaking with Jo, we only knew that she was the answer we were looking for.
Jo made us feel so relaxed and excited, we knew we were in good hands. She also understood that we didn’t want a boring wedding, and we wanted our guests to enjoy the cermeony/day as much as us.
Ideas about what our ceremony could have looked like
We had no idea really, it was Jo that brought it to life. After asking us a few questions over some wine, Jo had already started to piece together our ceremony. After filling out our wedding questionnaire, Jo invited us to meet her so she could read us our ceremony… it was perfect!
The best part of the ceremony for us
It’s difficult to say what the best part was because we loved every moment of it.
We loved how Jo set a lovely atmosphere and involved the audience.
What our guests said about our wedding ceremony/day
Everyone admired how gorgeous the ceremony was, with some saying it was the best wedding they’d been to.
Some of our fav wedding suppliers and why we chose them
- Margarita Hope Photography – She’s incredible and if you don’t book her… you’ll regret it!
- Lisa Jones Hair & Make-up – Aimee made all of my bridesmaids and I feel utterly gorgeous and she made the morning so fun and relaxed in the salon.
- The Reissues – The best band around! They brought the party and vibes and made everyone get up and dance. One guitarist literally started table hoping with his guitar!!
- And of course – Jo. Again, there’s nothing else to say other than if you don’t book Jo… you’ll regret it.
Three words that sum up our ‘Love Jo’ experience!
Gorgeous, Unique and Special!
