How we both met

We met on Bumble!

The Wedding Venue

Wylam Brewery.

Why we chose to have a celebrant wedding ceremony

We didn’t like the idea of someone we’d never met saying generic words for what is the most important day of our lives – the thought of having a ceremony that was really personal to us felt like the right thing to do.

Ideas about what our ceremony could have looked like

We met Jo really early on and she was so helpful giving us ideas and opening our eyes to what was possible – we knew how we wanted the ceremony to ‘feel’ and it was fab to work with Jo to bring the ceremony to life.

The best part of the ceremony for us

I really loved the “our love story” section of the ceremony – the guests reacted with such warmth and happiness as we re-lived the journey of our relationship to date. We also loved the rose planting ceremony which included both of our sets of parents adding some earth from their own gardens. We thought this would be a cute and sentimental part of the ceremony but it turned out to be filled with laughter as our parents’ competitive spirits came out – they took to their roles with far too much gusto! Jo absolutely embraced this and rolled with the unexpected moments of the day.

What our guests said about our wedding ceremony/day

SO many people told us that our ceremony was their “favourite wedding ceremony ever”

Some of our fav wedding suppliers and why we chose them

  • We are so glad that SJ and Simon (From the Smiths) captured our wedding – they are such a cool couple and so dedicated to their jobs. Our photos are stunning and we loved the Instragram reel that captured all of the fun of our day!
  • Massive thanks and respect to Emma Jordan and Amy at Muscari Events who did all of our event styling and floristry.
  • The whole team at Wylam Brewery are fantastic! We are so grateful to Lauren for all of her support in our planning of the day, and to Rod for his incredible MC skills.

Three words that sum up our ‘Love Jo’ experience!

Supportive, Collaborative, Passionate!
