How we both met
It’s a long story… and depends on which one of us you ask.
(it is a brilliant story though and one which got so many laughs in your ceremony) Love Jo x
The Wedding Venue
Full Circle Brew Co, Hoults Yard, Byker, Newcastle.
We couldn’t recommend it as a venue enough. Kate and the whole team are honestly some of the nicest people we’ve ever met. We felt welcomed into the Full Circle family and they all went above and beyond to exceed all our expectations for the day.
Why we chose to have a celebrant wedding ceremony
To be honest we didn’t really know celebrants were a thing!
We found the venue, fell in love with it and then discovered it didn’t have a licence. We were really disappointed and nearly didn’t book but decided to explore our options after Kate at Full Circle told us about celebrant ceremonies. She recommended ‘LoveJo’ and we got in touch to find out more about it.
After our first phone call with Jo we were sold! The venue not having a licence ended up being a blessing in disguise. Our ceremony was so much better than it would have been otherwise.
Ideas about what our ceremony could have looked like
After almost a decade together finally cementing our family was so important to us both. We really wanted a ceremony that would feel like us, be relaxed, fun and full of laughter whilst still staying true to the emotion and significance of the day. It seemed like a tall order and we had no idea how to achieve it but with the amazing Jo at the helm it turned out better than we ever could have imagined.
The best part of the ceremony for us
How personal it was to us and our love story and the sheer amount of emotion that was felt, not only by ourselves but by everyone present. There was laughter, tears and smiles all round with barely a dry eye in the house (particularly from the groom)!
What our guests said about our wedding ceremony/day
It was the most incredible day!
After we walked back down the aisle and greeted our friends and family multiple people said that it was the best ceremony they’d ever been to and a couple of them started crying again just thinking about it. Everyone was amazed by how it perfectly captured us as individuals and our relationship together.
We’ve had so many compliments about the whole day, the venue, the food, the flowers and the atmosphere. We were so nervous about having a slightly more relaxed, less traditional wedding that it wouldn’t live up to people’s expectations, especially as a lot of our friends and family were travelling a long way to attend, but everyone had a fantastic time and loved that everything was just us.
Some of our fav wedding suppliers and why we chose them
Our suppliers were incredible –
- 2KnivesKitchen – They are right by Full Circle Brew, their food is the best in Newcastle, before the big day we went there on multiple occasions to for the brunch & the burgers (both unreal). We loved the less formal feeling of the sharing platters and everyone raved about the food. The key lime pie is life changing and we’ve never heard so many people rave about potatoes before.
- From The Smiths Photography – When looking for a photographer we came across SJ and Simon, From The Smiths Photography and both loved their style. They did not disappoint; all our photos are beautiful and for two people who usually hate being in front of the camera we couldn’t be happier. They didn’t just capture the people but they managed to capture the atmosphere of the day perfectly.
- Muscari Events – Emma and Amy are super lovely and worked magic with a rough colour palate and some vague ideas. Would highly recommend trusting these talented women and letting their creativity shine.
- Beth Wilson embroidery – We loved working with Beth on Rebecca’s boilersuit. She hadn’t done one before but was excited by the challenge and it turned out beautifully. She worked with us to create a custom design and was great at giving options and thinking about every detail.
Three words that sum up our ‘Love Jo’ experience!
We Love Jo!
(Bloomin love this) x
