How we both met

We met online. It was funny as we got to know each other that we were both in such close proximity to each other at various times in our lives. We both went to the same places on nights out, to the same gigs, we even practically stood next to each other at a Ragina Spector gig at The Sage Gateshead.

When we both worked in town we walked past each other nearly every day. Yet, we had never met until we stumbled upon each other on PlentyofFish.com

The Wedding Venue

We were married, legally, at North Shields registry office. Due to Covid our wedding, planned originally in April 2020, was cancelled. We decided to get married and then have a proper celebration wedding when everyone could be together.

We had our second wedding at Wallsend Hall with the lovely Jo as our celebrant. We have an on going joke about how we love each other so much we got married twice.

Why we chose to have a celebrant wedding ceremony

We had already had the legal ceremony a year before. So we wanted something more personal and special for us and our loved ones.

Ideas about what our ceremony could have looked like

Something small, understated but full of love. We were open to Jo’s suggestions, especially the toast at the end. That was a brilliant idea!

The best part of the ceremony for us

How personal it was.  It was so magical!

What our guests said about our wedding ceremony/day

They loved how personal it was.  The humour and the tone were just perfect.

Some of our fav wedding suppliers and why we chose them

  • Our photographer Jade at Gasp Photo Co is amazing.
  • Melanie at Cakezy absolute wizard, no one knew the cake was vegan and gluten free.
  • Jacqueline at Towers Flowers, just brilliant couldn’t of asked for anything more.

Three words that sum up our ‘Love Jo’ experience!

Perfect, Perfect & Perfect!
