How we both met

Pitcher and Piano Newcastle quayside was where we met for our first date. We had matched on Tinder end of July/start August 2016. Danielle then turned down going on a date. We stopped talking after Danielle turned down dates twice. Then in early October started talking again and eventually agreed to go on a date. We always laugh about this now.

Why we chose to have a celebrant wedding ceremony

We had never heard of celebrant weddings before, but while at a wedding open day we came across the idea of a celebrant wedding.  We then did some research into what this would look like, and contacted Jo.  We arranged to meet with Jo to talk through what it would look like and we just knew that not only did we have to have a celebrant wedding, it had to be Jo.

Ideas about what our ceremony could have looked like

The fact that we got to completely tailor and personalise our ceremony was the main reason for choosing to have a celebrant wedding ceremony.

We wanted the ceremony to not just be the part of the day that guests wanted to be over, but something enjoyable that would bring laughter and happy tears. Jo did an absolutely perfect job of capturing this and making it better than we could have ever imagined.

The best part of the ceremony for us

Everything about the ceremony was perfect, it was completely personalised to us.

We loved exchanging our own personal vows to each other, it was such a special moment for both of us.

What our guests said about our wedding ceremony/day

They absolutely loved the ceremony, they thought it was so unique and special. Guests loved the sand ceremony and thought it was such a beautiful and unique way of capturing the moment. They thought our day was so personal and showcased our love story.

  • Fleur Couture- loved the florals and event styling- really captured everything I described and brought it all to life. Our flowers were absolutely perfect.
