How we both met
We met in Durham on the stairs of the slug and lettuce. I got lost and was late, and used the wrong entrance! I phoned Chris to check he was still there and he was standing at the other entrance waiting for me. As he walked in and I walked up the stairs, we met.

Why we chose to have a celebrant wedding ceremony
We wanted a ceremony to really capture us as a couple. We wanted a modern blend of traditional values entwined with our own love story. Especially since we met just before covid hit the world so not all of our friends and family had heard how we met.
Ideas about what our ceremony could have looked like
Yes we had an idea but Jo really brought it to life.
The best part of the ceremony for us
The look on my husband’s face when he seen me in my dress for the first time. He was sure he wouldn’t cry but he did and he couldn’t help it. That was the reaction I hoped for after so much effort went into choosing the perfect dress. And of course, saying “I will” in front of loved ones.
What our guests said about our wedding ceremony/day
They said it was absolutely beautiful and they loved the set up. They all liked the non-traditional set up and said it still felt so romantic and amazing.
