How we both met

Our journey began back in 2016 when we matched on Tinder. Shortly after, we embarked on our first date to a charming cocktail bar, where sparks flew and the foundation of our love story was laid.

The Wedding Venue

We got married on Saturday 16th March 2024 in Doxford barns.

Why we chose to have a celebrant wedding ceremony

We selected Jo as our celebrant because we desired a ceremony that felt uniquely tailored to us and we found ourselves drawn to this style of wedding ceremony.

As we delved into our research for potential celebrants online, Jo’s presence stood out immediately. Watching her in action through various videos, it became evident that she possesses a vibrant energy, effortlessly captivating the room. What truly resonated with us was her ability to craft each ceremony as a distinct and personalised experience for every couple she works with.

Ideas about what our ceremony could have looked like

In the lead-up to the ceremony we had several meetings with Jo. During these sessions, we engaged with a questionnaire designed by Jo, which she then used as a foundation to tailor our ceremony to reflect our unique story and preferences.

The best part of the ceremony for us

The most memorable aspect for us was the joyful laughter that filled the air throughout the ceremony. Additionally, being able to exchange our own heartfelt, personal vows made the experience truly unforgettable.

What our guests said about our wedding ceremony/day

The feedback we received from everyone was overwhelmingly positive – they described the ceremony as nothing short of AMAZING. Even our older relatives, who were more accustomed to traditional religious ceremonies, expressed genuine admiration for the style and uniqueness of our celebration. It was incredibly heartening to see how our ceremony resonated with people of all backgrounds and ages.

Some of our fav wedding suppliers and why we chose them

Thank you to all of our suppliers!

Our photographer, Camilia Lucinda, and videographer, Jon from Top Table Films, were exceptional at capturing every moment of our special day. Their skill and attention to detail ensured that we will forever cherish the memories they beautifully preserved.

Three words that sum up our ‘Love Jo’ experience!

(Love all of this, Amalia and Hugh – What a St Paddys weekend wedding it was.  Love forever Jo x)
